So, I was playing the free Beta of this, which allowed you to accumulate gold whereas now you have to actually buy it. Gold allows you to buy certain tanks and do different training things with your crew. The game is kind of fun. I haven't played it since the release, but I am told it is still free; you just can't transfer experienced crews or buy certain tanks without spending actual money.

Just a follow up to this thread. I was one of the German tankers at that event and I had a blast. The people that developed and run this game are pretty awesome. They put me up in a hotel for all three days and fed me lunch. I don't think I can say enough about the hospitality they showed me. I will say this about them though, they created a game that is a lot of fun. I was able to play some of it every morning and after the convention each day. Even since then I have been playing it on my own computer and haven't really gotten bored with it yet. It's not 100% historically accurate, but you can still learn quite a bit by playing. The game is free to download and free to play. So if you're in the slightest bit a gamer I suggest you check it out. I'm sure you're already a big WWII fan if you are on this forum. So like I said, go ahead and check it out. There's nothing to lose. www.worldoftanks.com/Leutenant Lutz 21stpanzer div.
