I am starting up a Film Work Registry for CHG Members. This is going to basically be a list of all you who are interested in working the various film jobs I get contacted with once in awhile. I know some units get contacted directly, and that's fine, too. However, I also get phone calls and it's too hard to call each and everyone of you as I don't know who is willing to do the work, who is available, who is not willing to drive certain distances, etc. If you'd like to be a part of the registry, read the directions located here: DirectionsAnd then fill out the form here: Blank FormI cannot guarantee any of you work and I will do my best to be fair. I know some of you have been wanting to work on a project and never have before, so maybe this way I can be more organized about it and make that happen. Please note that this service is for current CHG members.

Hello, My name is Stephen Cook, and I have been trying to contact certain units but no one has responded. We are currently shooting a short promo film for our winter camp. The promo is a knock-off of Indiana Jones and we were wondering if we could get a axis unit with some vehicles to come out and film a scene or two for about 4 hours at Corriganville Park, Simi Valley, CA. We would deeply appreciate a German axis unit who would be willing to give up their time and talents to us. Unfortunately, because we have no budget we would not be able to pay. But we hope that wouldn't be an issue. Thank you, Stephen Cook cookie112795@gmail.com

Stephen
As things go, this hobby is a lot of work. So most reenactors are not too exicted about going to a lot of extra work, and waste of shooting off thier blanks without being reimbursed, plus the added expense of gas to drive to places, and food.
So you'll find it very difficult to find reenactors willing to do such work.

The other thing is that it would cost a chunk of money to transport several German Military vehicles to the film site to donate their time for free. Basically, most groups want to be paid for their time so as to not take away the livelyhood of professional extras.

Thank you for your response.
Do you have any idea what the usual asking price is?

Charging for the vehicles also helps to pay for repairs, maintainance costs, improvments, and storage costs.
