This is a little know series by many. It came on the heals of the popularity TV Show Combat! It only lasted one season, and while different in several respect thant combat, for the WWII buff offer good entertainment.
The Gallant Men is set in Italy, and unlike Combat! which follows a small squad, Gallant Men follows are larger group usually two squads. There is also a war correspondant character through which the stories are told. He is also attached to the unit.
