Huntington Beach 4th July Parade

We are going to do things a little differently this year. No marching, except maybe for the initial turn on to Main Street from PCH, and possibly trying to group like impressions together. That way folks dressed as Marines are separated from guys dressed as ETO Army and such. Looks better for pictures.

Also for those non-CHG units who read the message board as well as the event page..... Only CHG units will be allowed to attend in the CHG Entry. Over the years more and more people have just showed up and "jumped in".

Also those will vehicles need to check in with Anthony, before bringing vehicles.

To clarify further, not just CHG units, but CHG members that are paid current with their dues. We will have a roster sheet handy and will do a line-up prior to kicking off on to the route. If you're behind on your dues, you will be asked to leave. WE WILL NOT TAKE DUES PAYMENTS ON THE DAY OF THE PARADE. So, do not delay if you want to go.

We had a nice cross section of CHG members, together with a Jeep and a Truck. The weather was nice in the morning and while it warmed up it was never got hot-hot.

Because of the solid showing of just CHG members we started the parade in a march, and then quickly broke out to patrol step. The kids and the crowds love the showing, and our members were high-Fiving the kids at every turn.
