Hello, My name is Craig and I am looking to join a German Unit. I live in Northern California and would prefer a unit close to home (close to Sacramento). A unit that supports vehicles would be preferred but I am willing to "pound the ground" Currently I have a pair of M43 Trouser, Canteen (need a cup), equipment belt with buckle (appears to be Officer Waffen) and Austrian y-straps. Originally I had made the purchase to play Airsoft but the currently there is little enough in the reenactment interest in WW2. I look forward to a reply.

Welcome to the CHG Message Boards. The CHG is the premier WW2 Reenacting organization on the west cost with over 25 units, and offering the most events and activities to the WW2 reenactor. The CHG is the only organization to schedule and put on large scale armor and infantry events.
Reenacting by it very nature results in clubs having members throughout the state. Accordingly it is best to contact each unit in our fine offering of German Units, to see which one fits your needs and geographic location.
But feel free to post up any questions you may have.

Hallo Kameraden, I´m Jens from east germany. My age is 39. I´ve been 3 years a Panzerfahrer (Tankdriver) in the german Bundeswehr. The german company I work for as Projekt Manager builds Cleenrooms and I work at the moment in Tijuana on a project for Carl Zeiss. I`ve been several times bevore in Ireland, UK and the scandinavien countries for work. In Ireland I found my destiny with the Kameraden from the www.battlegroupsouth.comI´m a member of the 1.Pz Div LSSAH. I´m reenact a Kradmelder with my BMW R71 from 1938. Wile I´m here I would like to have a look at your Wehrmachtstechnik and meet some Kameraden to talk and take some good ideas back to Ireland. When is the next meeting or event to meet somewhere close to San Diego. Heil Euch

Hello, panzerfahrer.
Unfortunately, we won't be having any new reenactments until January due to the holidays. I do not know when you'll be out again. I'd recommend making contact with some of the units listed in our webpages to see if you might be able to meet up with them while you're here.

Looking to join a German or British unit. Are any located in Northern California? Most CHG units seem to be in Southern California.

Well, we're not British, but about half of the members of the 39th Australian Infantry Battalion live in Northern California. We are a secondary impression unit, so you would have to join another CHG unit for your primary impression. If you have any questions about us, our contact information is on the unit pages - see you when we see you!
