The board did an emergency vote to pay for gas to have work done on Reyes Creek this weekend.
Work party going well this weekend. There are now large campgrounds, new roads, fighting areas, a lot of brush has been cleared. Potential as a new CHG site is now wide open.
POVs should have no problems, parking is now good. Saturday our VP John Marketello, Jack from the 12th and Bill K. from the 2nd ID worked all day Saturday and I'm told that Jack has been working tirelessly with the dozer clearing brush, making roads and creating cut outs. All the roads that were impassable are now clear and open. And all the brush has been cut back along the main road network coming in so POV's won't get scratched up.
There is still much more work that can be done and the potential of this site is wide open. There is a forested area but until now it was inaccessible and now you can get in there. Right now the forested area is accessible on foot only.
For this coming battle I'm told the area is now wide open for the Russian Armored Cars. Or the German 222's. No problem or concerns with getting stuck.
The bad roads areas have all been repaired. Although probably about four culverts will need to be installed at some later date.
So News is Reyes Creek is now up and running. ALL CAMPFIRES MUST STILL BE CLOSELY MONITORED.

Yes, sir. Campfires will be allowed provided they are within good fire pits and that they are not left unattended. Please remember to fully extinguish out and overhaul all fire pits before leaving them.

This was the second battle at the site, but the first in the lower back valleys. The diagram shows where this battle was in relation to the January Battle.
