Army Talks was a publication put out during the war to keep wartime troops informed on current approaches to warfare in their give theater. Lots of great suggestions on combat and individual behavior on the battle field.

"It is desired that consistent with operational requirements, group discussions, and the medium ARMY TALKS ... be held in all units within this command, using one hour of training time during the week. Presentation of this material is a field command"

There are many many copies of ARMY TALKS with tons of great information for reenactors to incorporate into their impressions.

majortom: Are there Authenticity Standards on this site? A recent report from the US Authenticity Officer states that Authenticity Standards had been posted on the CHG website a month prior to the Jan 28 battle. I have been all over the site but can't find them. Jan 31, 2015 14:09:51 GMT -8

PRESIDENT: If you go to the January event (or any of the events) and click on the country named in the Authenticity headline (American, in this example), it'll open a PDF file that details what was required for that event. Feb 9, 2015 19:22:18 GMT -8

PRESIDENT: Not all of the countries were completed, though, as most of my Authenticity Officers (AOs) were not able to meet the deadline. The ones for American and UK/Commonwealth are current for March. Feb 9, 2015 19:23:37 GMT -8
