Tom Hank's is working with Universal who purchases the book rights to In the Garden of the Beast, which is set in 1933. It is the story of William Dodd the US Ambassor to Germany and entanglements which occur when his daughter becomes romantically involved with a high ranking Nazi Offical. William Dodd himself is also a central figure who the Nazis try to communicate with during the final years of the war.
