Those are really well shot, Goethe. Thank you. I hope you enjoyed the event.

Definitely had a good time! Ozena II could prove to be a great new event site especially with a little work on making a few cross roads, and static defensive positions.

It looks like you played on the Mesa Top and a section of roads down to the parking area down the POV Parking. Did any of you get a chance to go down to the Battlefield Valley areas south of the Mesa Area? maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=214260428571297768434.0004b5b7504797e988342&msa=0&ll=34.689686,-119.322338&spn=0.010533,0.024784

This is great that you found this spot on the Mesa, but did any of you go further south and then down the other side of the Mesa to the creek, and the two other valleys? Does any one have a report on the other larger areas to the south? And if you did go down there, what was the general condition of the Mesa road from this weekend's battlefied down to the Creek and Main Valley areas? We've heard that road needs some work.

For the Saturday battle, we fought all along the Mesa Top and did a fighting retreat down the road to Axis Camp - Near the POV parking area.
The allies had transportation, and i'm pretty sure their camp was near the creek so you'll have to ask one of the 2nd ID / 2nd AD guys about the other areas.

I had a great time at this battle. The weather was perfect on Saturday and Sunday. We had a great turnout on both the allied and axis sides. Also, I think the new site has a lot of potential...it was nice fighting on unfamiliar terrain, for a change!

I agree, Rick. I was concerned about the density of the brush, but it was surprisingly fun to navigate and helped make a smaller playing field seem large. The rain came at a good time (while we were asleep) and the soil there is more like sand so we did not end up with mud bogs.
