Corrosion protection until they can be properly restored. Crime is that they leave them outside and they can be worth money. IMO.

Except for the Beechcraft trainer, none of those aircraft are WW2. They are all late 50s DC3-S model aircraft. They have the upgraded Tail and wing tips. The DC3-C and B models are of the WW2 era aircraft
Non the less, they should have kept the professional spray can operators away from the planes. To use the term nose art as an example of "traditional graffiti" is disingenuous.
