The 70th Guards R.D. will be hosting “The Battle of the Caucasus, September 1942” @ Camp Tahquitze on September 21-23, 2012. The unit is putting a lot of effort to advertise and prepare the site for the upcoming battle. Our goal is to create an event with specific objectives which will provide attendees with a fun and memorable experience.

There are many impressions appropriate to the scenario. On the Soviet side, both army and naval infantry impressions will be fielded. Axis impressions include: Heer, Gebirgsjager and SS as well as others. Authenticity standards will be enforced and impression guidelines will be provided. A facebook page has been launched to provide people with historical information and photos of the battle. In addition, impression guidelines, kit examples, site preparation and scenario details will be listed and regularly updated.
