Kelly Swann, works on her drawing and writing, as her goal is to make a graphic novel about the Second World War . She graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 2007 with a degree in Studio Arts, graphic design emphasis, and have been working as a graphic designer at a newspaper since June of 2007. She's been drawing since the 7th grade and been drawing soldiers. My friends have been amused with this fact, as what is a twenty-something woman doing drawing battle-weary soldiers from over sixty years ago? She decided to do this; since many people don’t know much about WWII except what they’ve learned in history class and a couple of movies, she decided to continue drawing soldiers but with a story and attempt to show things about the war which many people have forgotten or never knew. She enjoys reading and studying history independently, learning from the masters such as Ernie Pyle and Bill Mauldin, and want to share what I’ve learned with my friends and anybody else who’d be interested Her website blog, called WWII GI has over 100 sketches. Which more added each month. To review her sketches hit the next entries" and the bottom of the page combatart.wordpress.com/page/21/Here is a collection of some of Kelly's Sketches from her website
