This is another great war time site of newsreel footage, many in color but most in Black & White. While there are over 4,000 films listed many have restricted access because they are "public domain" But even stile there are 65 color films and 1,451 which are public domain films which are viewable on the site.
The movie cast people in settings which have a feeling they were taken yesterday. The ones in color are tremendous to view.
Here are six of them which are ready for your viewing
If you are interested in exploring the rest of the films, it is suggested you use advance search and check off "public domain" films to filter just those which are viewable.

majortom: Are there Authenticity Standards on this site? A recent report from the US Authenticity Officer states that Authenticity Standards had been posted on the CHG website a month prior to the Jan 28 battle. I have been all over the site but can't find them.

PRESIDENT: If you go to the January event (or any of the events) and click on the country named in the Authenticity headline (American, in this example), it'll open a PDF file that details what was required for that event.

PRESIDENT: Not all of the countries were completed, though, as most of my Authenticity Officers (AOs) were not able to meet the deadline. The ones for American and UK/Commonwealth are current for March.
