Unless these somehow were being used to illustrate the German gun.

An update on the LAPD weapons buy-back program. KFI reported this morning that in Van Nuys, two "WWII GI bring backs" were turned in. One was described as a "submachine gun used by German paratroopers" and the other as a British submachine gun. Not bad for a $100 Ralphs gift card, eh?

Further information gained from the 9:00 o'clock news shows them to be an MP-40 and a Sten.

majortom: Are there Authenticity Standards on this site? A recent report from the US Authenticity Officer states that Authenticity Standards had been posted on the CHG website a month prior to the Jan 28 battle. I have been all over the site but can't find them. Jan 31, 2015 14:09:51 GMT -8

PRESIDENT: If you go to the January event (or any of the events) and click on the country named in the Authenticity headline (American, in this example), it'll open a PDF file that details what was required for that event. Feb 9, 2015 19:22:18 GMT -8

PRESIDENT: Not all of the countries were completed, though, as most of my Authenticity Officers (AOs) were not able to meet the deadline. The ones for American and UK/Commonwealth are current for March. Feb 9, 2015 19:23:37 GMT -8
