I am seeking to get in touch with a World War 2 Axis reenactment group in the Los Angeles area that might be willing to appear for 1-day shoot in March in the Santa Barbara area for a serious drama short film bound for Toronto International Film festival.
I need 12-15 SS-infantry soldiers and either truck and officer’s sedan or we can CGI the vehicles in post-production. Possible speaking part for Unterschurfurer who can fake German accent and say a few lines in German.
The SS officer is an actor, we do not need this person.
Serious production, so participants would need to allow us to get them a little bit dirty---although, not a combat scene, a group sent after a parachuted Allied flyer. We just need to take any shine off anything.
We can pay $100 per person per day and either arrange transportation or compensate you. If you have a military vehicle (truck or half-track or authentic SS officer's sedan) we would be happy to arrange for flatbed transportation and pay to have it cleaned.
We could also pay a lump sum to the unit, whatever is preferred.
