Theives forced their way into a friend's home and the following items were stolen last night from his house in Shingle Springs, Ca. while away at Tower Park. Most of this stuff is both of his grandfathers stuff brought back from many years of service in the U.S. Army and U.S. Airforce, and these items are the most valuable.
1. Original unrestored late war 3rd I.D. Helmet from grandfather's unit. 3rd I.D. markings on both sides.
2. Late war oxygen mask from B29
3. 20th USAAF, hand painted round leather patch, with Bugs Bunny pulling down a window shade over Japanese AA gun.
4. F111 Chalenge Coin
5. F111 15 year service coin
6. Blue Angel's challenge coin in blue velvet case
7. Egress coin with motto "we punch 'em out and the bull s!#& stops" awarded for ejection seat testing
8. Two signal mirrors with grids on them for distance.
9. Various rare bullets including 20mm round from a Fock Wulf 190.
Tons of 9mm 30-06 ammunition, shot gun, and other.
All items were stolen from a home in Shingle Springs, Ca. Near Placerville, Sacramento area. They were taken at random as tvs and sterios were also taken. If anyone finds any of this stuff on Craigslist, e-bay or any other auction site or garage sale, please contact me or the local police ASAP!
