Santa Barbara 4th of July Parade, Thursday 4 July 2013
CHG Members and our guest have participated in this parade for more than 15 years.
There is no limit to the number of MV's or persons that can participate in our entry.
There is no cost to individuals or the CHG due to a generous local benefactor that pays all fees.
Any Allied WWII impression is welcome. All WWII MV's are welcome.
TIME: The parade begins at 1 pm
WHERE TO MEET:
after 10:30, exit 101 at Arellaga Street exit, drive north to State Street, park, find us near State and Micheltorena. Be in line with us no later than 12:45
Before 10:00, exit 101 at Milpas St and drive inland on Milpas to Ortega Street. Most MV's meet here and then convoy through town to the staging area on State Street.
IF YOU WANT TO BE IN THIS MV CONVOY, it leaves promptly at 10:00. Allow time to get your MV ready to go at 10:00. If your MV can not join the convoy in time, you can find room for your POV and trailer on State street north of Micheltorena.
Following the parade, we park on lower State Street for an hour or more and interact with the public. At 3 pm we convoy to the beach, park at the Veterans Bldg. Fireworks at 9 PM.
This parade has traditionally been hosted by 2nd ID and 35th ID, for more information, contact Rick Manzer (805) 844-2291 or email vented13@aol.com
