If a City would like to have its first WWII Re-enactment march, who do they contact, and what is the lead time to contact the units involved.
Hi my name is Cameron Garcia, and I'm a fledging Re-enactor. My re-enactor impression is pre-World War II, The Philippines, and the Philippine Scouts 26th Cavalry Rgt. Also I do a 1st and 2nd Filipino Infantry Rgt impression (1942-1945)
Anyway, being a former military member, and a history buff on WWII, I had got to thinking about a project, and I had just talked to one of our parade co-chariman about the possibility of having some WWII Units march in one of our parades at some later date. What I'd like to know is to whom do I contact, do I leave a message with the CHG, and let the CHG announce the celebration?
Also, will charging a small entrance fee, affect the ability of the group or individual to enter, or do the groups like to march or be part of a parade if they don't have to pay an entrance fee.
Anyway, I hope you can help me with this, and oh, before I forget, the City that is inquiring is the City of "Marina", which is close to the old Fort Ord. I'd like to say that for now I'm gathering information on the feasiblity of having marchers, and if its okay with our City council; have a few armored or military vehicles be in the procession.
Thank you, for your time. Cam Garcia
